Kilol, the new store in Nungambakkam, specialises in block printed garments and fabrics


Kilol, the new store in Nungambakkam specialising in hand block printed salwar suits, fabrics, saris and home furnishings has a new range of tussar, crepe, georgette, Maheshwari, kota and Bengal cotton for the festive season. The suits are enhanced by shaded dupattas while the saris come with blouses and woven borders. There are combinations of prints with chikanwork and kanta embroidery.

There is also a range of kaftans and western wear such as tops and layered skirts for the younger lot. Prices start from Rs. 350.

There are lightweight quilts with intricate prints and combinations. Handcrafted jute bags, wooden artefacts, ethnic silver jewellery, sequinned mojris and slip-ons are also available.

The store, located on the first floor at 40-A, Nungambakkam High Road, opposite Ganpat Hotel, is open from 10.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. and on all Sundays till October.
