Where's the party tonight

CBIT's biennial fest Carpe Diem is back with a host of programmes

DJ Suketu

This Saturday night all roads lead to Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT). Reason? Its biennial fest, Carpe Diem, is back. The 2006 edition of the event promises to be something to look out for.

There is Slash, its hallmark rock competition, a special music do by Karunya and a DJ night with DJ Suketu that promises to keep everyone on their toes. But the icing on the cake is definitely the much-awaited performance by the band Jal, which is currently one of the hottest pop bands in Asia. Winner of the award for the best artiste category in MTV Asia awards, their songs Woh Lamhey and Aadat are still topping the charts. Catch up with the cast of the much-loved film, Hyderabad Nawabs, and participate in the various contests. There's also a food court for the hungry souls.

The tickets for the day can be bought in denominations of Rs. 100, Rs. 250 (entry for one) and Rs. 600, Rs. 800 (entry for two) at all the Café Coffee Day outlets, Mocha, Reliance Infocomm centres, and Prasad's IMAX. For more information visit their official website at
