    Music

    Something special to offer
Sudha Ragunathan betrayed no strain, Sanjay's Harikambodi moved, Aruna's Bhairavi was one of the best, Krishna was emotion-oriented and T.V. Sankaranaryanan absorbing.
    Rich and lucid sancharas
Ramani's flute recital was highly pleasing.
    Classicism offered with sincerity
The concert of Bombay Sisters revealed their firm faith in tradition.
    Display of clarity and imagination
Nothing was lacking in the music of Prasanna Venkataraman, whose choice of songs and execution were commendable.
    Parur trio perfectly in tune
The Parur trio offered a brisk package while Gayathri Girish was all melody in her vocal recital.
    Distinct within traditional mores
Shashank, on the flute, was both esoteric and appealing.
    In an expansive mood
Sankari Krishnan's neraval and Priya Sisters' kalpanaswaras added pep to their concerts.
    Mohanam glows with fluid notes
Lavanya and Subbulakshmi played the saxophone efficiently, although there was an overdose of kalpanaswaras.
    Alapanas shine with quality
Madurai Rajaram's raga expositions were short but lucid.
    Aural treat from Lalgudi duo
The violin concert of Lalgudi Krishnan and Vijayalakshmi lived up to expectations.
    Celebrating the power of dance
Rasambhuti would be better when we find silence, which is just of melody.

    Dance

    Captivates with agility and timing
Maya's strengths are her energy and intuitive sense of timing.
    Beauty in precision
Dramatic lighting, artistic space and group configurations added to the picturesque choreography.
    Good nritta, neat presentation
Indira Kadambi excelled in abhinaya but could have done with less sancharis.
