Teaching and learning are a continuous process. The teacher and the taught need to be open minded for learning to take place.

Is there room for creativity?
Teaching is the systematic imparting of information. The process of teaching begins at home with the parents. Popularly, the term teaching is restricted to the classroom alone. But teaching and learning take place from birth to death in all walks of life.
In the olden days, students were required to stay in the premises provided by the gurus. This was the Gurukul, and the disciples were taught the Vedas, Upanishads and so on. Today the guru - sishya relationship has undergone a radical change. The attitude of the student towards the teacher too has changed. The moral responsibility of individuals is not realised, much less executed, at different levels. There is no rapport between the teacher and the student. Each considers the other responsible for fulfilment of a function. It is felt that the responsibility of the teacher is to make the students get through the examinations. The function of the teacher is to provide guidance to all students not a particular individual.
It is not possible for everyone to be a good teacher. But only a good teacher can impart proper training and help the students develop into good citizens.
The teacher and the taught need to be open minded for learning to take place.
