Time trouble
This incident occurred while I was in the fifth standard. It was summer and the sun was shining brightly in the sky. While I was playing, my mother asked me to buy an alarm clock. Though the shop was far, I decided to walk.
I started at noon and reached the shop at 12-30 p.m. I selected a clock and began my return journey. I reached home and my younger sister informed me that the clock had only one hand. So again I returned to the shop but found the clock had two hands. I walked back my house but still found the clock had only one hand. I became furious and resumed my journey. When I reached the shop the shopkeeper showed both the hands of the clock. I went home and was surprised to see the clock with one hand. This time I ran to the shop and was given the same answer. I ran back to inform my parents about this mystery. But this time after reaching my house I found the two hands of the clock. Only then I understood the reason for this strange mystery. I had reached my home at 1-05 p.m., 2-10 p.m. and 3-15 p.m. At all these times both the hands of clock coincided and so looked like only one hand. But the fourth time since I had run back, I reached home before the hands of the clock coincided. I narrated this strange incident to my parents and we all had a good laugh.
