Visit to Vedanthangal

My family went on a picnic to Vedanthangal, a bird sanctuary near Chennai. There is a big lake surrounded by huge trees. Thousands of birds were hovering over the lake and the trees, building nests on the trees.

I had read a book on the birds that flock here. These birds travel thousands of kilometres from other lands.

During the cold season, they won't get food. So they migrate elsewhere, some come to Vedanthangal.

I enjoyed my picnic very much.
