Everyday is a safety day

Road accidents are on the rise. People are not bothered about the safety aspects that should be followed while driving a vehicle, while crossing or walking on the roads. Safety weeks are observed by the Transport Department every year and National Safety Day on March 5.

It is the responsibility of every citizen to know how perfectly and safely we can do a job. Government efforts alone will not be sufficient to bring down the death rates on the roads. People should think of maintaining the vehicles in good running condition, wearing helmets while driving two wheelers, putting on the safety belts while travelling in four-wheelers, avoiding alcohols before and during travelling, following the traffic signals promptly and above all pray to the Almighty for safe travel. Every day is a safety day; safety has no holidays.
