That's life
If all you have is a hammer,
Everything looks like a nail.
If all you have is a bad cold,
Just step out and it will surely rain.
If the doctor wants to sell tonics,
He will say, "You look pale."
If all you have is no money,
You will surely come across a sale.
If all you have is urgency,
You will be stuck in a high traffic lane.
If all you have is a fast car,
You will be overtaken by a snail.
If all you have is crunch of time,
You will find yourself at the end of the line.
If all you have is work,
You will surely have some more.
If all you have is a sleepy feeling
The ongoing lecture will be a bore.
If all you have is an intellectual bent,
You may not have anything to think.
If all you have is fine grape juice,
You may not have a reason to drink.
If you have everything,
You are not alive.
If you have a little of all and want some more,
Then what you have is life.
