A proud moment
It was the Inaugural Day of the 17th Annual Book Fair. It was held on August 3 at Emma Foulger School, Royapettah.
We, the volunteers along with our music choir and students competing for the Dance Competition, reached in the afternoon.
Our work was to arrange a different dancing group from different schools in an orderly way and allow them to dance on the stage by the given order. All were present there on the dais.
The Governor Mr. Rama Mohan Rao was the chief guest along with eminent members like, the Vice-President of NIIT, Chairman of the British Council, and other distinguished visitors.
We anxiously waited for the turn of our students. Then we could spot our students colourfully dressed danced their way through towards the stage.
We were at the height of ecstasy when the announcement went on air declaring that our school has won the first place amidst the roar of applause's and cheer from all of us!
We felt proud to see our school had choreographed the dance introducing the given theme.
The Governor presented the rolling silver trophy for winning and a marvellous piece of painting by Deepa Eswaran, for securing the first place. That was rightly the proud moment we could cherish most!
