Want to be a Cyborg?

Prof. Kevin Warwick, the Head of the Department of Cybernetics at the University of Reading, U.K., is the world's first Cyborg. In 1998 he had a silicon chip surgically implanted in his arm. In 2002 he had a miniature computer implanted in the main nerve canal of his wrist. He has also written a book by name 1 CYBORG in which he tells about his experiences as the world's first cyborg.

We were privileged to meet this cybernetic organism (Cyborg).

His lecture was organised by the Vishweshwaraih Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM).

His lecture-cum-demonstration, "Robots to Cyborgs" was full of video clippings, slide shows and had robots, which were powered by infra red rays and ultra violet rays. He also showed clippings of children making their own robots. His main intention of being a cyborg was to have the positive aspects of a computer and robots — having mathematical calculative accuracy, wonderful memory and many other capabilities.
