The magic bird

Nina and her mother lived in a hut near a forest. Every day she would collect flowers and sell them in the market.

One day Nina saw a wounded bird. She took the bird home and nursed it carefully. When it recovered it said, "I am a magic bird. When you are in trouble, call me."

Nina was surprised to hear the bird talk. She asked it "How can you talk." The bird replied, "a sage blessed me Nina and the bird became friends. Every day the bird would visit Nina and she would give nuts and fruits to it.

One day when Nina was picking the flowers, a thief tried to kidnap Nina, but she managed to escape. After going home. Nina called the bird and told every thing that happened. The bird told to give the thief a drink with sleeping pills. And so she did. The thief drank the milk and fell asleep. Nina ran to the police station and got help. They arrested the thief and thanked Nina helping them to catch the thief. Her mother was given a job in the town. They lived happily with the bird.
