Scrunchy books

As I was walking home from school, a spaceship landed right in front of me! An alien with eyes like a cat and long spidery legs came out.

"I am hungry," he said. "I have come to your planet in search of books to eat."

"Books aren't food," I said.

"That's the craziest thing I ever heard," said the alien. "I want a good book! Right now I am craving for a big fat math book."

He started to walk towards me and I backed into a wall.

"Give me your maths book fast. I am very hungry." He shouted.

I stood rooted at the spot. He snatched my bag, opened it and started gobbling up my books. He seemed to be very hungry. He ate up quite a few of my books.

It was then I sprung into action and ran back home as fast my legs could take me.

The next day I had a tough time explaining to my teacher that an alien had eaten my homework and my friends just wouldn't believe my story. So I decided to write down my story for everyone to read.
