Youth succumbs to injuries

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM JULY 4. A 25-year-old youth, who was fatally injured when the bike on which he was travelling was hit by a mini-van at the Pappanamcode Junction on Wednesday evening, succumbed to his injuries while under medical care at the Medical College Hospital here. Police identified the victim as Deepu of `Leeni Land' at Kumarapuram. A traffic official said the accident occurred at around 5-40 p.m. when Deepu had braked behind a lorry in adherence to a traffic signal light at the junction. At that instance, a mini-van bearing a temporary identification number rammed the bike from behind.
