Runway blocked

Bhubaneswar Sept. 26. The Delhi-Bhubaneswar Indian Airlines flight could not land at the Biju Patnaik airport here this afternoon as the runway was blocked by a Government aircraft, IA sources said.

The IA flight No IC-877, which was diverted to Kolkata, is expected to return here later in the day after the runway was cleared, the sources said.

However, neither the IA nor the control tower authorities at the airport could specify as to why the small State Government aircraft had been stranded on the runway.
