Tributes to Gandhiji

NEW DELHI OCT. 2. The President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the Vice-President, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, and the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, today led the nation in paying floral tributes to the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on his 133rd birth anniversary. The leaders went to the Rajghat this morning and offered rose petals. A two-minute silence was observed in his memory. — UNI
