IA hikes fares by 10 p.c.

New Delhi Nov. 6. Indian Airlines today announced a 10 per cent across-the-board hike in its domestic fares from November 10 to offset an increase in aviation turbine fuel and other input costs. The Advanced Purchase Excursion Fares (APEX) — offered on about 2000 seats out of a 30,000 a day — were left untouched, but are likely to be revised soon.

Jet Airways announced yesterday a 10 per cent hike in its fares from November 10. Air Sahara too declared today its intent to follow suit.
