This Day That Age
Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru completed 63 years of age on the 14th. On his birthday, a large number of children were in the lawns of his residence from early morning of November 14. Mr. Nehru spent a happy two hours with them. President Rajendra Prasad, on tour, sent his greetings and a bouquet to the Prime Minister through his Deputy Military Secretary. Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, and friends and admirers of Mr. Nehru called at "Teen Murthi" to greet him. The Prime Minister received numerous telegrams of greetings from all parts of the country and from abroad. Among them was one from Marshal Stalin. As he entered Parliament later, all except the Communists loudly cheered Mr. Nehru.
