Violence again in Vadodara

VADODARA, DEC. 16. Violence erupted again in the sensitive Nagarwada and Fatehpura areas tonight causing tension in this disturbed city.

Police said members of two communities were engaged in heavy stone throwing and arson from 10 p.m. in these places under the city and Karelibaug police stations. Additional reinforcement have been sent to these areas.

Miscreants set ablaze two houses at Nagarwada's Mehtawadi locality. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot. A preliminary report said police opened fire and lobbed teargas shells to disperse clashing mobs which ransacked and looted several shops. - UNI
