Signature campaign against terrorism

NEW DELHI JAN. 7. A signature campaign against terrorism focussing on Pakistan as the chief sponsor of the menace will be taken up by the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Morcha's executive committee here today.

Inaugurating the meeting, the party general secretary, Rajnath Singh, said India's unity was based on geography and shared history unlike some countries where politics determined their nationhood.

The meet, however, focussed on terrorism, with the president of the Yuva Morcha, G. Kishan Reddy, saying that it posed the greatest danger to the world.

Separately, the party decided that Union Ministers would tour Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura which are going to the polls in a couple of months.

The senior party leader, Pyarelal Khandelwal, was put in-charge of the elections.

The party units in the north-east have been virtually given a free hand to enter into seat-sharing arrangements or alliances with local and regional parties.
