Jehanabad tense

JEHANABAD FEB. 9. Tension mounted in Bihar's Jehanabad town today following reports of desecration of an idol of Lord Shiva in a temple by unidentified miscreants late last night.

Additional police forces have been deployed near the Shiva temple in Bichli locality of the town under the Sadar police station to prevent any untoward incident, the Sub-Divisional Officer, Shakir Jama, told PTI here.

The administration was making efforts to nab the culprits, he said, adding that an FIR has been lodged in this connection with the town police station.
