Wondering why the Congress should object to the move when "we are only asking for an early solution," he alleged that the party, which had allowed `shilanyas' and promised `Ram rajya,' seemed to have a vested interest in the continuation of the dispute. Mr. Naidu said the BJP was consistent in its view that the Ayodhya issue should be solved either through negotiations or a judicial process. He denied that the Government was acting under pressure from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
