This Day That Age
The Soviet Foreign Minister and leader of the Soviet delegation to the U.N. General Assembly, M. Andrei Vyshinsky, arrived in New York by the trans-Atlantic liner "Queen Mary" on the 24th. When asked by newsmen for his reaction to the deneutralisation of Formosa and the denunciation of the Yalta and Postdam agreements by President Eisenhower, he gave the terse reply "We will see." As he left the dockside surrounded by an escort of policemen, about 200 persons belonging to New York organisations of Jewiah and Polish nationals shouted "Butcher. Murderer! Go back to Moscow."
