TB eradication

Buoyed by the success of the Indian cricket team in the World Cup, an advertisement agency working in association with the Government to eradicate tuberculosis, has roped in two leading cricketers to create awareness among people about the deadly disease.

The cricketers — Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan — will be seen in advertisements appealing people against `taking the disease lightly', which is claiming more than 1000 lives in India everyday.

"By taking these two players we want to communicate the message that irrespective of what you are and where you are, you can be afflicted by the dangerous disease which is a silent killer," said S Narinder, Executive Director of the R K Swami BBDO Advertising Private Limited.
