Baseless, says Iraqi Embassy

The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq, New Delhi, says in a statement: With reference to the news item published in The Hindu (March 13), the Embassy would like to make it clear that the decision to transfer the envoy to India, Salah al-Mukhtar, was taken last December. It was a mere administrative procedure not related to any other reason. The news published is baseless.
