U.S. soldier killed in suicide attack

BAGHDAD, APRIL 10. At least one U.S. soldier was killed today in a suicide attack in Baghdad, Major Matt Baker of the U.S. Marines told AFP.

``It happened north of here,'' Maj. Baker said, speaking at the Palestine Hotel in downtown Baghdad where the foreign press is staying. It was the first suicide attack against American forces since they captured the capital yesterday.
