CM leaving for Delhi

By Our Special Correspondent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM APRIL 22. The Chief Minister, A.K. Antony, is leaving for Delhi on Wednesday.

Mr. Antony's Delhi visit assumes significance in the context of the discussions currently on in the national capital to sort out the differences in the Congress in Kerala consequent to the Rajya Sabha elections and its outcome.

The Chief Minister was originally scheduled to visit Delhi on April 23 to attend discussions on the State's annual Plan. But this meeting was subsequently postponed.

He, however, decided to stick to his Delhi visit because of the developments related to the factional fight in Kerala.

"I felt it is my duty to be in Delhi at a time when the high command is making an attempt to sort out differences in the party,'' he said when asked whether he was called to Delhi.
