Healthy relationship

Sir, — The lack of communication between a doctor and a patient is a timely article well narrated by Dr. Saranya (June 15). It is well-known that predominantly it is doctors who are at the bottom of this situation.

On the other hand, patients who are already victimised by the current trend in medical profession fall prey to their own ignorance. Nevertheless, whatever the level of knowledge of patients, it is definitely the doctor's responsibility to communicate what is relevant to them.

This will definitely foster good relationship between them.
