After conducting a meeting with officials and consultants of the project here today, Mr. Abdulla said that the feasibility study of the project was fast progressing. The project would give a lead to evolving a solution to the problems in tourism, industry, health and commerce. The visual statement and site development report will be submitted this week and the project report by September. This would be done in a time-bound manner. The Government is expecting Japanese aid to the tune of Rs.950 crores, he said. The additional chief secretary, Babu Jacob, the Tourism secretary, T. Balakrishnan, the Urban Development secretary, Elias George, the project consultants, Lee Associates, general manager, Avadesh Singh, and the Theerapadam special officer, Ramabhadran, also attended the meeting held at the Minister's chamber.
