A sweeping victory for the Michael Vaughan-led England side set off a whispering debate about the batting failure of the almost new look South African team. Obviously, South Africa's captain Graeme Smith did not get many marks as his team was beaten hollow in half a day. But a two-hour screening of last summer's final between India and England at Lord's on July 13 and quizzing by Gautam Bhimani more than compensated for the entertainment the invitees were looking forward to. Among the special guests apart from small screen anchors Mandira Bedi and Shekar Suman were three finalists of Samsung's `Britain Sportzyatra' contest. They were Sunil Gomes, Charmaine D'Mello and Nimisha Paul. They were asked four questions to determine the winner and the runners-up. The final rounds of questions were: 1. Which world-famous sportsman, other than a Formula 1 racer, visited Silverstone last summer to meet Michael Schumacher (Sachin Tendulkar); 2. What is the nickname of Manchester United and its home ground (Red Devils, Old Trafford); 3. Which Indian cricketer's mother witnessed the Natwest Trophy final between India and England last summer? (Yuveraj Singh) and 4. Name Leander Paes' parents, both of whom were sportspersons. (Vece and Jennifer Paes). None of the three finalists got all the four answers right and in fact all the three named Virender Sehwag for the third question. But Gomes somehow managed to get more points to win a trip to Britain, where he will be taken to Wimbledon, Lord's, Silverstone and to the Manchester United Club at Old Trafford. Nimisha won a 21" Samsung Colour Television and Chairmane a microwave oven. All the three were presented with ESPN wristwatches. The audience came up with brilliant answers when Bhimani conducted a quiz for the invitees and at least a dozen went home with an ESPN wristwatch as a prize. Our Special Correspondent
