Children tie rakhi to PM

New Delhi, Aug. 12. Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee today spent time with the physically handicapped, blind, mentally challenged and students of various schools in Delhi, who went to his residence to tie rakhi on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Since the morning, they made their way to the Prime Minister's 7, Race Course Road residence. They also got the opportunity to interact with Vajpayee. While some sang patriotic songs, others took the pledge to dedicate their lives for the nation.

To the request of blind girl students of Om Prakash Foundation, Rohini, Vajpayee recited a patriotic poem. Later, he presented a cassette of his poems to the children.

Those who tied rakhi to the Prime Minister included Brahmakumaris, students of Lord Jesus Public School, Gurgaon, Sanskriti Public School and SOS children. The Prime Minister in turn, presented them sweets.
