Path-breaking

Sir, — The visit of the Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, is a path-breaking effort for the two democracies. It demonstrates India's mature foreign policy to get out of its one-track concept of supporting the Arabs and the Palestinians at the cost of Israel. Now, India has established a partnership with Israel, without upsetting traditional allies, which strengthens our defence, security and business interests.
