The Police Commissioner, Ranjit Singh Sharma, told reporters that 215 gelatine sticks, 199 empty detonator caps, 25 electronic detonators, 14 ordinary detonators and 26 alarm clocks were seized. The police had found a cache of explosives in the car of the Mumbai bomb blasts mastermind, Nasir and his accomplice, killed in an encounter in a central suburb on Friday night.The seizure included 92 gelatine sticks, two alarm clocks, a knife and two pistols of foreign make. Mr. Sharma said Nasir, an operative of the ISI-abetted Lashkar-e-Taiba, had plans to engineer bomb blasts here during the Navratri festivals and also on September 11 last. The police are yet to identify Nasir's accomplice.
