Voters should produce photo ID cards

HYDERABAD SEPT. 19. Electors of the Karwan Assembly Constituency have been asked to compulsorily produce Elector Photo Identity Card in the by-election scheduled on September 26.

Citing the Election Commission of India orders, the District Election Officer and Commissioner, MCH, in a press release, said those not possessing the card can show passport, driving licence, PAN card, Service Identity Card, Bank/Kisan/Post Office Pass Books, Student Identity Card, Property Documents, Ration Cards, SC/ST/OBC certificates, pension documents, Railway Identification Card or Freedom Fighter Identity Card to exercise their franchise.

Meanwhile, photo identity cards to leftover voters in Himayathnagar Constituency would be issued from Saturday to Monday, a MCH release said. Residual voters may avail of the facility between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
