Letters to the Editor
Sir, The sudden demise of C.V. Narasimhan, former U.N. Under Secretary General, is an irreparable loss. When I was at Columbia University in the 1950s, I used to frequent his house on weekends. Quite a few Indian students also used to come for a musical treat by chosen singers. His contribution to global ethos was most significant. He was no doubt a citizen of the world.
