Traffic restrictions for World AIDS Day rally

HYDERABAD NOV. 30. The Tank Bund road, Necklace Road, Khairatabad flyover and NTR Marg will be closed for traffic for a few hours on Monday morning in view of the World AIDS Day rally being organised by the A.P. State Aids Control Society, according to the City Police Commissioner, R. P. Singh, here on Sunday.

No vehicle will be allowed on the Upper Tank Bund Road from either side between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Traffic from Visvesvaraya statue side will not be allowed on the Khairatabad flyover and instead diverted towards Khairatabad from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. At the Necklace Rotary, vehicle movement towards NTR Marg or Necklace Road will be stopped from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

At the old site of the Telugu Thalli statue, traffic will not be allowed towards NTR Marg and Necklace road from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Traffic will also not be allowed towards Children's Park on Upper Tank Bund Road from DBR Mills side between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. At Nallagutta bridge, traffic will not be allowed towards Sanjeevaiah Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The press release also notified parking for visitors' vehicles at different points. The general parking is provided Meekosam, opposite Imax Theatre, NTR Garden Gate Nos. 1 and 2 and the traffic Island behind Traffic Children Park. The parking for buses is at Mint Compound road, for the VIPs, media and organisers at People's Plaza and the two-wheelers parking is beside the Necklace Road Lake Police Station Railway track.
