SIT files charges against TDP MLA, eight others

MUMBAI Dec. 29. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) today filed a chargesheet against nine accused, including the Telugu Desam Party legislator, C. Krishna Yadav, in a Pune court in the multi-crore fake stamp scam case.

The others include the suspended Assistant Police Commissioner, Gokul Patil, the senior police inspector of Mumbai Crime Branch, Vashista Andhale, inspector Prabhakar Kakade. The chargesheet runs into 2,500 pages and is filed under the Maharashtra Organised Crime Control Act.
