Back `Forensic Week' programme in Hyderbad

HYDERABAD: With a view to creating awareness about the "application of forensic science" among the investigating agencies and general public, Directorate of Forensic Science is conducting a weeklong `Forensic Week' beginning on Wednesday.

Students of various schools and colleges and officers from the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Academy have been invited for a visit of Department's laboratories at Ramanthapur and see for themselves the advancements made in this scientific field. "They will also get a chance to interact with forensic scientists," Mr Ch. Gandhi, Deputy Government Examiner of Questioned Documents, said here in a press release.

The Directorate is also holding an expo simultaneously to showcase some case studies. Several forensic scientists would visit some local colleges and deliver lecture on the `Role of forensic science and questioned documents in the investigation of crime,' it added.
