Back Kitchens By Design in Tamil Nadu

KITCHENS are no longer the stark, utilitarian places they used to be. Designer kitchens are the in thing and there are a number of foreign brands to cater to this need.

Kitchens By Design, a brand marketed by the Hyderabad-based company Linus Consultants Pvt Ltd, which specialises in modular kitchen, plans to expand its operations in the South and the West. The company today announced the launch of its operations in Tamil Nadu.

Mr Christopher Hartnett, Managing Director, Linus Consultants Pvt Ltd., said that the company has tied up with $50-million Grupo Alvic of Spain, which is a part of $9-billion Masco Corporation, for the supply of kitchen cabinetry. The prices for the cabinetry range from Rs 80,000 to Rs 1.25 lakh. Mr Hartnett said that the company planned to introduce galvanised iron and stainless steel modular kitchens, which are designed for the Indian homes.
