Advocates express concern over abduction

BANGALORE, FEB. 7. The Bangalore Advocates' Association has expressed concern over reports of the abduction of Chitralekha, an advocate and daughter of the late M.P. Chandrakanth Raj Urs, former High Court Judge.

Ms. Chitralekha went missing mysteriously from her house on Palace Road on January 19.

Her sister, also an advocate, had filed a complaint before the High Grounds police.

The city police investigating the case recently converted it into one of abduction.

In a statement issued today, the advocates wanted the Government to take steps to quickly find the whereabouts of Ms. Chitralekha and give suitable directions to the officials concerned.
