Loyola ITC wins athletics championship

MADURAI, MARCH 15. Loyola Industrial Training Centre (ITC) won the over all championship with a tally of 52 points in the three-day Madurai District inter-private Industrial Training Centre athletics and games meet, which concluded at MGR Race Course Stadium here on Saturday. Loyola ITC also won the athletics championship with a tally of 39 points. Vinoth Arockiadas of Loyola ITC and Christy of Don Bosco ITC won the Boys and Girls individual Championships with 15 and 10 points respectively.

Mr. R.Rajkumar, Principal, Government ITI, Madurai, presided and Mr. S.Rajasekaran, Managing Director, Susee Car and Truck Private Limited, gave away the prizes.

Boys, football: Loyola bt Don Bosco 6-5 via tie-breaker.

Kabaddi: UYPA bt Don Bosco 44-36.

Volleyball: Loyola bt Don Bosco 25-8, 25-17.

Cricket: Srinivasa 74 lost to Don Bosco 75 for six.

Girls, ball badminton: UYPA bt Don Bosco 29-3, 29-5.

Tennikoit: UYPA bt Don Bosco 21-15, 21-11.
