`Ten Sports can't afford to cancel telecast'

By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE, MARCH 15. Will they, won't they? That is the question on the lips of lakhs of cricket-crazy Bangaloreans on the eve of Tuesday's day-night India-Pakistan match in Rawalpindi.

Late night reports by a television channel suggested that Ten Sports, which has exclusive rights to the match, might not telecast the game.

But those in the industry here dismissed the reports and stressed that the match would definitely be shown. "India is too big a market for them (Ten Sports) to ignore. Besides, the series is scheduled to end only on March 24," they pointed out. Tuesday's match is scheduled to begin at 1.30 p.m. (IST).
