500 students visit education fair

BANGALORE, MARCH 15. Over 500 students visited the "IDP (International Development Programme) Education Australia Fair" to interact directly with representatives from 33 Australian universities here on Monday.

Most students wanted information on engineering courses. The interest for information technology and business courses was also high.

Pre-registered students, who had already short-listed institutions through the local IDP office here, had exclusive interviews lined up for them. Others were taken around different stalls put up by universities and colleges and counselled. Among the courses offered were agriculture, architecture, arts, aviation, biotechnology, computing studies, dentistry, education, environmental studies, fashion design, hotel management, interior design, law, music, media studies, pharmacy, psychology, textiles, visual arts, and sports studies.
