Back Airtel to unveil `Easy Charge' Our Bureau
Bangalore , March 17 AIRTEL will soon unveil a scheme which will allow students, housewives and retired personnel to become e-entrepreneurs who will offer India's first paperless recharge for its pre-paid subscribers. Airtel's chief for sales and marketing for Karnataka, Mr G. Dhananjayan told Business Line that the product, Easy Charge enables a subscriber to recharge the currency on his mobile merely by sending an SMS or calling his neighbourhood retailer to reload his currency. Once the retailer receives the message, he will transfer the amount required through an SMS to the customer's mobile who will get a confirmation regarding credit to his account. The customers can pay the money to the retailer at each other's convenience. "This product enables the customer to recharge at his convenience at whatever amount he wants," he said.
