Bid to break open bank strong-room

BIDAR, APRIL 3. Burglars tried to break open the strong room of the Usmanganj branch of the State Bank of Hyderabad here in the early hours of Saturday.

They gained entry into the bank through a hole in a wire mesh and tried to break open the lock of the strong room.

They opened an almirah which contained files and stationery.

The security guard told the police that he did not hear noises as the strong room was in a corner of the building. Friday was the weekly holiday for the branch.
