Realtor murdered

Dispute over a piece of land led to the murder of a realtor under the Serilingampaly police station limits on Saturday.

According to the police, the victim, Sekhar Naidu and one Prabhakar were having a dispute over sharing of boundaries of Survey No. 45 and Survey No. 80 at Hafizpet. Around 3.30 p.m. today, some persons were carrying out a survey of the land next to disputed site, when Sekhar Naidu happened to go there.

It is learnt that minutes later, Prabhakar along with his men also went there. Within no time, both the parties entered into a heated argument.

Amidst the argument, one of Prabhakar's supporters, Sayeed, reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Mr. Naidu indiscriminately killing him on the spot and fled. Naidu's friend Vijay Krishna who was present there rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. Serilingampally police registered a case and took up investigation.

Man found dead

A stonecutter, B. Ramulu alias Ram Reddy (28), of Gandhinagar in Moulali was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his residence on Saturday morning. The police said that he committed suicide by hanging himself yesterday. The Malkajgiri police registered a case and are investigating.

Eunuch held

The Habeebnagar police on Saturday arrested a eunuch, Mohammed Yousuf, who was duping housewives by relieving them of their gold ornaments under the pretext of offering treatment to them in places of worship. A resident of Jeedimetla, he changed his name to `Nagini'.

On March 5, he cheated one, Hanis Begum, of Nampally. He collected 5 tola gold ornaments and told her that the same would be offered at the Dargah. Yousuf further informed her that he would return with the valuables after offering prayers and later vanished with it. Yousuf was previously arrested by the Banjara Hills police in similar cases.

Held on charge stealing vehicles

The Jubilee Hills police arrested one, Manoj Kumar Sony, involved in series of vehicle thefts and recovered four motorcycles besides gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs. 2.5 lakhs. He committed offences in the police station limits of Charminar, Hussaini Alam, Kamatipura and Abids. Sony, a City Dossier Criminal was earlier arrested by the sleuths of Central Crime Station.

Student missing

A BSc second year student, P. Sandhya Rani (20), a resident of Begum Bazar is reported missing from her residence since Friday. Her father, P. Veeresham, lodged a complaint with the Afzalgunj police who registered a missing case and took up investigation.
