Modi's admission

Sir, — This refers to the Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, admitting the mistake of having made derogatory references to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. His assurance that he will not repeat the mistake and that he will be more careful in future is welcome. It is the people of Rae Bareli and Amethi who have to make the final judgment on the electoral acceptability of Ms. Gandhi and her son.
