Party cloudy sky forecast

There will be "partly cloudy" sky in the city on Monday and the maximum temperature will be around 34 degrees Celsius, according to the Met Department forecast.

The city on Sunday recorded a maximum temperature of 32.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 22 degrees Celsius. The corresponding readings at the airport were 31.7 and 21.4. There was no rain. The relative humidity was 41 per cent in the city and 37 per cent at the airport.

Orphanage admissions

The Asaktha Poshaka Sabha has invited applications from orphan boys and girls in the age group of 7-10 for admission to the orphanages run by the Sabha for 2004-05. They will be provided free boarding, lodging, and education from 1st to 4th standard. Prescribed application forms can be collected from the Sabha's office in V.V. ITI course

The Hazrath Hameed Shah Khadri and Hazrath Muheeb Shah Khadri dargahs and their allied wakfs institutions will conduct two-year ITI courses in electronic mechanic, mechanic refrigeration, and air conditioning. SSLC passed candidates are eligible. Applications and prospectus can be obtained from the Principal's office on Cubbonpet Main Road after the SSLC results. The last date for applying is May 30.
