BANGALORE, MAY 1. The mobile phone service providers in the city are keeping their fingers crossed even as efforts are on to locate the source of the mystery waves that affected their subscribers on April 26. The subscribers of these service providers, barring Hutch which operates on 1800 Mhz band, were affected by "a very high interference" from an unknown source on that day. The service providers said on Saturday that the source remained undetected despite continued efforts by them and the Wireless Planning Commission. They hoped that the weekend would pass without a hitch. "But we have our fingers crossed and we are waiting to see what is in store for us on Monday," said N.K. Satish, general manager (Corporate Affairs), Spice Telecom.
