Steward, three students suspended

TIRUPATI. May. 9. The assistant steward of the A-mess and in all three students were placed under suspension with immediate effect in connection with the clashes witnessed in the SV University College campus on the week-end.

It may be recalled that trouble was sparked off in the B-Block and A-Mess on the campus when two groups of students got into a pitched battle following altercation over an alleged bias shown by the Assistant Steward.

Pending receipt of the six-member committee constituted to probe the incident, B. Obul Reddy of the Department of Geography and Niranjan Reddy of the Department of Biotechnology were suspended for the alleged trouble while Dastagiri of the department of Anthropology was placed under suspension for `precipitating' the issue.
