Back Coke to train women executives Our Bureau
Kolkata , May 12 COCA-Cola India has rolled out a project to honour talented Indian women by introducing a specially-designed "gender diversity" initiative that aims at inducting a fresh batch of women executives to handle frontline sales function. The project was launched recently and the first group of 15 women operations trainees is being put through an intensive three-month sales orientation programme at its India division office. The concept of the programme is based on a simple approach that re-emphasises equal opportunity and meritocracy as a core value of the company's operations. The programme not only aims to grow the business in sync with the company's diverse community and consumer base but also intends to engage the confident, educated Indian women to be an integral part of the management. The programme is divided into 24 modules that will take this young and enthusiastic group of talented women through the paces for selling and provided on-the-job training to sharpen their skills.
